Tobacco Tales

a 4 month immersion into the teachings of tobacco

What to Expect

This immersive study is a sacred journey into the traditional uses of tobacco as medicine. We will explore its spiritual significance, learn from indigenous perspectives, and develop a personal relationship with the plant through guided rituals, self-study, and integration practices. The course culminates with an optional in-person retreat, offering hands-on practice with elders.

❋ Foundations

We will explore the history of tobacco alongside the varieties of this plant. How did tobacco go from being a sacred medicine to the people to being one of the most dangerous “drugs” out there in form of cigarettes?

❋ Ritual & Meditations

With the ritual tools that we send out to you, we will be guiding you into rituals, altar set ups and practices to support your study with this sacred plant.

Each module is accompanied by its specific rituals and meditations for you to deepen your study.

❋ Indigenous Perspectives

Raising awareness on tobacco’s true sacred work in the world through currently alive and practiced traditional teachings.

We welcome guest teachers to guide us through their world view and ritual use of tobacco (from south through central and North American traditions).

❋ INTEGRATION

An essential part of our container is formed by your own integration of the teachings, and rituals.

You will be given journal prompts and creative projects to complete to support in an embodied experience of the sacred plant of tobacco.
